Overseer of Works approved by Secretary of State, Despatch No. 115 of 4th August 1863.

Extra Assistant Clerk approved by Secretary of State, Despatch No. 42 of 29th June 1864.

Salary of Assistant Packet Agent at Shanghai sanctioned by Secretary of State in Despatch No. 199 of 12th October 1862.

Increase in Estimate for Gratuities to Ship Masters on conveyance of mails consequent on increased Correspondence.

This increase is principally a matter of account being a transfer to the Treasury Department of the sums required for collection of Village rates.
